Born in 1743 Antoine-Laurent de Lavoisier was a Chemist, Biologist and a French economist who got married with Marie-Anne Pierrette Paulze. He began to study in 1754 and he standed out because he was very good in the natural sciences, after that he hold several public offices, including state director of works for the manufacture of gunpowder in 1776, he studied the composition of the water and he rejected the theory of the Phlogiston. Is called the father of the modern Chemistry he studied the oxidation of the substances and hes's most knowed theory "the theory of mass conservation".

I think that he is a very good example to follow because in his life he made a lot of advances in the science, advances that we are using today to resolve problems related with the Chemistry. And sure, if he could made such advances with less technology, Why not one of us?
